ATS in Queensland

The Queensland Government is a strong supporter of the Australian Technology Showcase and its commitment to the promotion and support of Queensland, leading-edge, innovative technologies.

Technology holders accredited in Queensland are offered a range of benefits, including:

o ATS badged technology promotional materials;

o placement of technology articles in selected media publications;

o assistance through Queensland Government Trade and Investment offices;

o business development opportunities; and

o the Queensland ATS Member of the Year program.

Examples of business development opportunities available to Queensland members include:

ATS Internship Initiative

The internship initiative provides accredited ATS members throughout Queensland with an opportunity to undertake business and market development activities through the placement of a final-year or post-graduate student.

The initiative acts as a centralised contact point for Queensland universities seeking to provide companies with suitable students to undertake short-term projects. ATS member companies have the opportunity to undertake an identified structured project for which the company may not have the in-house capability or capacity.

Students are sourced from diverse backgrounds such as, but not limited to:

o business management

o graphic design

o promotions/marketing

o public relations

o organisational psychology

Annual Business Development Summit

The ATS Annual Business Development Summit brings ATS members together with angel investors, current and potential supply chain companies, clients and key departmental service delivery units.

The event provides an opportunity to network, discuss new opportunities and participate in a structured Business Matching Program. ATS Members are also able to nominate for an opportunity to pitch their technology to the audience on the night.

A total of three awards are handed out during the course of the evening to recognise outstanding members in the following categories:

o ATS Member of the Year

o ATS Rising Star

o ATS Technology Pitch
