Aware IM: web-based database
In this era it is almost unthinkable to have a business and not have a website, or at the very least a database.
This can present challenges for many businesses, and many are forced to outsource their web application development – often a costly and lengthy process.
Sydney software development company Awaresoft has come up with an enterprise-grade business web application development platform that is both user friendly and affordable.
Director Vadim Shilovsky said Aware IM filled a niche in the market, and was designed for users in IT or business departments.
“We developed it after realising there was no software product on the market to allow the building of business web applications easily, quickly and inexpensively,” he said.
Aware IM offers a unique combination of easy to use and modern, enterprise-grade technology that sets it apart from both functionally-limited desktop databases and more powerful low-level development tools.
“It enables technically-minded business people to quickly build web-based database applications for their specific needs,” he said.
“No web technology skills, no specialist software skills and no database design skills are required.”
Mr Shilovsky said the platform offered a range of advantages to end users, and worked well on corporate IT infrastructure. Other features include the following:
· Works on the internet, with access via any standard web browser.
· Works with standard SQL databases such as MySQL, SQL Server and Oracle.
· Automatically generates database tables and web forms.
· Standard functionality includes emails, personalised documents and reports.
Aware IM is already being used in 20 countries by large corporations such as Cisco; government agencies in the US and Australia such as the NSW Treasury and NSW Food Authority; small to medium enterprises (SMEs); research and educational institutions, and non-for-profit organisations.
“The feedback we have received from our customers is very positive,” said Mr Shilovsky.
