Tacholink vehicle monitoring systems
The Tacholink vehicle monitoring system provides a complete fleet management solution that reduces costs, maximises vehicle utilisation, minimises maintenance and improves safety.

Tacholink generates vehicle movement data, temperature readings, driver identification, vehicle security and immobilisation, and detailed incident recordings. The device constantly receives data from sensors installed in the vehicle. These can include vehicle speed, engine RPM, acceleration, vehicle odometer readings, fuel levels and GPS position. This is processed and stored by the Tacholink’s inbuilt computer and can be retrieved using the unit’s own display or downloaded to an external processor.

The reports obtained from Tacholink can be used by a fleet manager to analyse driver and vehicle performance to help reduce fleet running costs and improve road safety. The UK Police force have chosen this technology for use in their extensive fleet. This has enabled them to investigate accidents and assess driver behaviour during police activity.

The design flexibility of Tacholink makes it useful in a wide range of applications including general road, passenger and dangerous goods transport, rail movements, defence force deployment, mining and earthmoving activities and marine transport.

Increasing concern about occupational health and safety in the road transport industry has boosted demand for solutions that provide vital data about vehicle use. Facilities such as the ability to track vehicles using GPS systems give operators an opportunity to improve operating efficiencies. When the wide applications for this device are added to the simplicity of operation, robustness of design and ease of installation, it’s plain to see why the Tacholink vehicle management system is highly regarded worldwide.

Tacholink products are exported to USA, Canada, Mexico, South America, UK, Middle East, Africa, Asia and New Zealand. New markets are being developed in France, Germany and Japan. Collaborations with commercial vehicle manufacturers, distributors wanting to offer this system as an optional extra and government authorities wanting to address safety problems will increase sales significantly in future.
