ClickView
Digital Video Solution for Schools
Video is an increasingly important component of school education, but current formats such as DVDs and video cassettes restrict the ability of teachers to show video content in the classroom at will.
ClickView utilises a school’s desktop, server and network infrastructure to create a fully-managed video content distribution and viewing system. Any video content that is stored on a server in the ClickView Digital Video Library can be accessed by students and teachers on any PC that is running the ClickView Player.
The ClickView Digital Video Library can be installed on any suitable server in the school, immediately delivering the ability to host and deploy thousands of hours of video over the school network. The ClickView Library Manager enables librarians and administrators to record, edit, categorise and update all of ClickView’s digital video, and the system is suitable for storing and distributing digital content including music and podcasts, images and worksheets.
A separate module, ClickView Live, enables streaming of six live television channels to PCs, while ClickView 24-7enables the system to record six channels simultaneously and maintain a rolling archive of two week’s worth of television for schools to assess and add to their collections.
Teachers and students can also access video content from their home computer using the ClickView Home software.
ClickView has also assembled a comprehensive curriculum-linked video and worksheet library, ClickView Exchange, from Australia’s leading educational video production companies, including Discovery Channel Education and Channel 4, and created Australia largest legal video sharing community for schools who have ClickView and a Screenrights licence.
ClickView is used by a wide variety of schools across Australia and New Zealand with over half of all secondary schools in Australia and over a third of secondary schools in New Zealand.
