Soprano Mobile Enterprise Messaging Suite
Finding a software solution with a point of difference in today’s highly competitive mobile and wireless messaging sector is a tall order – but an Australian company believes it has done just that.
Soprano Design Pty Ltd has developed a suite of sophisticated, value-added mobile messaging applications that provides a single portal across the spectrum of SMS, MMS and email.
The SOPRANO Mobile Enterprise Messaging Suite (MEMS) includes an impressive range of ready-built applications and features, such as:
• running interactive mobile marketing campaigns • automating job offers and shift confirmations • providing two-factor authentication to secure online transactions • scheduling appointment reminders to improve attendance rates • issuing barcodes for product promotion and ticketed events. Soprano’s managing director Richard Favero said SOPRANO MEMS gave customers significant cost savings by offering a single solution through a single interface for all messaging solutions.
“SOPRANO MEMS is the first suite of business applications for business customers to use SMS, MMS and email to improve business through personalised messages,” he said.
“There is no other system like it.”
Dr Favero said SOPRANO MEMS had wide potential across a range of industry sectors, including financial services, health, manufacturing, hospitality, media and entertainment, retail and education.
As an example of its cost and timesaving ability, he said SOPRANO MEMS could configure a mobile-based marketing campaign for SMS or MMS and have it up and running in less than an hour.
By comparison, the current approach would require interactions with a creative agency, a mobile marketing agency, and building and testing to get it running. Start-up costs run into the thousands of dollars, and message costs are additional.
SOPRANO MEMS is already attracting global interest, with the international Global System for Mobile Communications Association selecting it as a finalist for the 2008 GSMA Global Mobile Awards in the category of Best Mobile Enterprise Product or Service.
On the home front SOPRANO MEMS has also been integrated in to Telstra's messaging infrastructure to provide a carrier-grade mobile messaging application suite marketed to enterprise and government customers, as Telstra Integrated Messaging powered by Soprano.
